Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:
• Matric
• Design and/or Draughting Qualification (N4/N5)
• Basic experience of CAD Software and techniques
• MS Office proficient
• Knowledge and experience in technical drawing
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime

Main Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the work process by providing drawings of structures to be built, lit etc.
• Provide clients with a visual representation of the concept.

Design
• Work with handler or client to interpret brief into a visual representation.
• Familiarise him/herself with all design elements of an event, i.e. lighting, visual media, structures, audio, etc.
• Present designs and concepts to client when required to do so.
• Attend any design briefings or site visits as may be required.

Drawings
• Familiarise him/herself with the company and events equipment so as to effectively utilise all elements in designs.
• Produce working drawings to assist with logistical planning and the compilation of equipment lists.
• Prepare working drawings of confirmed jobs for the Technicians to provide a visual reference from which to complete the installation.
• Produce conceptual drawings/designs as required.
• Create and update a library of standard structures drawings.
• Develop and maintain an archive of all CAD drawings generated by our company.
• Update Venue plans on the server as required (hydrants etc.).
• Create new designs for stages/structures as required.
• Design within the parameters of safety regulations.

General
• Keep abreast of the latest CAD technology.
• Maintain current working knowledge of CAD standards, regulations and current design factors for equipment used in the erection of structures.
• Assist management with any other duties as may be required.
