Position: Junior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
•Electrical design in E-Plan.
•Ensure drawing designs is current to the project installation and up to date.
•Implementation of ISO policies and documentation.
•Planning of materials required for large scale projects.
•Costing of variation orders.
•Attend project kick off meeting with electrical team and brief team on how costing was compiled.
•Travel to project sites in order to provide cost engineering support (site meetings). ? Obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and contractors for major electrical equipment as required, assistance will be provided by the Supply Chain Manager.
•Assist with the preparation, coordination, review and distribution of electrical estimates including instrument costs and electrical equipment costs.
•Monitor project during design development and provide on-going follow through during the subsequent execution of the project.
•Review client specifications and advise Operations Director of any extraordinary requirements that can significantly impact the project cost estimate. Ensure that the client’s requirements are properly addressed in the proposal.
•Use technical knowledge of electrical work to master a variety of cost estimating activities.
•Able to compile a bill of quantities and labour.
•Able to read preliminary designs.

Requirements:
•National Diploma or B-Tech in Electrical Engineering.
•General experience in estimating will be advantageous.
•Software Engineering Support.
•Computer Literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, Inventor/AutoCAD and Outlook.
