JUNIOR FARM MANAGER

Our client, a wine estate situated in Wellington, has the above-mentioned vacancy. The ideal candidate has excellent supervisory skills, can work independently, is self-motivated and naturally shows pro-active initiative. Good organizational and planning skills as well as minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position in the agricultural industry are pre-requisites for this position. A code 10 and PDP driver’s license, experience in establishing new vineyards, knowledge of pruning, fertilization and water systems are further requirements for this position.

The applicant will report to the Production Manager and duties include the following: Supervising labourers and overseeing all farming processes * Ensuring all work procedures are carried out correctly * General farm maintenance (gardens, buildings, roads, etc) * Assist with events held at the estate * All relevant farm administration and record keeping *All other duties related to such a position.
