Junior FileMaker Developer Required
Our client, an IT Development company are seeking self-motivated self–starter developer to work on a contract basis.
Position PERMANENT CONTRACT
Reports to Director
Commencement Date Immediately
Function FileMaker Developer
Location Cape Town
Qualifications
• 2+ years FileMaker Pro required
• Exposure to FileMaker Server
• Grade 12 plus tertiary software development orientated degree/diploma or equivalent (e.g. B.Com Information Systems etc.)
• Knowledge of PHP, XML, CSS, HTML and SQL desired but not required
• Advanced degree desired, but not required
• Ability to self study
Job Requirements:
• Design user interface
• Develop user windows, buttons etc.
• Create relevant Databases, Tables & Relationships
• Write required reports for customers
• Meet all requirements and deadlines as specified by the customer
• Work on several development projects at once
• Ensure that client’s needs are met
• Roll out the completed product into a live environment
• Provide support post go live
Skills & Experience
• Appropriate level of experience within software development & user interface design
• Able to demonstrate a strong numerical competency
• Strong understanding of relationships & databases
• Not afraid to work on a server
• Able to work independently and with others
• Anxious to work on a variety of platforms and products
• Able to handle projects of all sizes and possess strong problem solving skills
• Take pride in being a responsible individual
• Some exposure to business analysis
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy essential
• Customer focused at all times
• Meet very tight deadlines
• Able to work overtime if necessary
• Able to follow systems and procedures
• Ability to work under pressure
