Our client requires the services of a Junior Financial Accountant who will be responsible for providing support to the Financial Manager by maintaining accounting records to ensure financial control through accurate maintenance and completion of the accounting records.

Key performance areas:

? Cashbook/ loading of payments
? Invoicing
? Compilation and submission of all required statutory returns (VAT201s, EMP201s, IT14SDs, etc.)
? Accruals and provisions
? Accounts payable
? Trial balance checks
? Compiling reports
? Assisting with company secretarial when necessary
? Support Financial Manager and Executives with projects and tasks when required

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with a relevant Degree/Diploma
? Additional certification (e.g. CPA) will be advantageous
? Knowledge of accounting, taxation and management accounting best principles?
? Excellent numerical abilities with attention to detail
? Excellent computer literacy (MS Excel – Advanced & Xero)
? Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
? Strong time management and organizational abilities
? Proven ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines and targets
? Critical thinker with sound problem solving abilities
? Good communication skills and able to work well within a team environment
