Our client in the Manufacturing industry requires a Junior Industrial Engineer (Graduates welcome to apply) for their dynamic engineering design team, Pietermaritzburg, KZN

Duties:
• Do Costings and product structuring
• Setting up BOM's
• Process workflow
• Designing products; and line layout
• Work on CAD/Inventor
• Product design and plant / line layouts

Requirements:
• National qualification in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering
• At least 1-2 years’ practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
• CAD / Inventor drawing ability or qualification a must.
• Knowledge of BOM’s and Routing structuring.
• Basic understanding of product structuring and costing.
• Practical experience in time studies and determining of process workflow.
• Experience / knowledge of product design, plant / line layout and operator ergonomics and efficiency.
• Ability to identify and specify new equipment [tooling, jigs etc] and process technologies to assist in creating a competitive advantage of the products and pricing.
• Good Computer knowledge and ability to update BOM’s and routings.
• Ability to work within a unionized environment and communicate effectively at all levels.
• Basic understanding of TPS will be advantageous.
