Orms Cape Town School of Photography provides photographic training and education through Part-Time courses, workshops, exhibitions, and seminars as well as One-Year Full-Time Study Programmes.

We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and hard-working Junior Marketing Assistant to join the current marketing team and help us grow our brand by means of content creation and to assist with marketing-related administration, twice per week and on occasional Saturday mornings and weekday evenings.

Responsibilities:

- Representing at & documenting school events including, but not limited to, photographing, smartphone-video & reporting back on classes, talks, and in-house exhibitions.
- Produce photographic stock for both predetermined strategic campaigns along with generally promoting our school & its’ offerings.
- Conduct interviews (video and written) with industry-leaders / lecturers / students.
- Help with upload-legwork on online diaries and website (specifically blog / student portfolios)
- Print material drop-offs: in-house and at key places in and around Cape Town.
- Execute and manage strategic influencer relationships / trade-exchanges.
- Assist in brainstorming campaigns for various courses, with specific focus on long-term programmes & Open Days.
- Assist in setting up for Exhibitions, Open Days & big talks.
- Calling schools and delivering of print material (flyers and posters).
- Upkeep of specific sections of our blog and website.

- Thorough understanding of social media, specifically Instagram.
- Sound knowledge of photography (digital) either self-taught or have completed basic photographic short-course.
- Outstanding knowledge of Wordpress and blogging.
- Savvy with the Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong planning, administration and time management skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Job requirements:
- Qualified in Marketing or Advertising OR at least 2 years relevant work experience.
- Sound knowledge of photography (digital) either self-taught OR have completed basic photographic short-course.
- Outstanding knowledge of Wordpress and blogging.
- Exceptionally skilled in the Microsoft Office tools.
- Own means of transport.
- Available on occasional Saturday mornings and weekday evenings.
