Reporting to the technical buyer you will assist that role to procure materials, components, consumables and CAPEX items required in the manufacture of pressure vessels and ancillary equipment as well as consumables to meet operational needs.

Responsibilities:
• Planning and purchasing based on sales forecasts, BOM demand and requisitions
• Place orders and follow up to make sure that they are delivered to the right place at the right time.
• Expediting of outstanding purchase orders to ensure the on time delivery of goods
• Monitor supplier performance (Evaluate suppliers based on the standard criterion)
• Daily supplier selection and development of new suppliers (Find reliable sources to supply goods and services. Contact supplier to obtain information on price, quality and delivery capabilities for the goods/service required)
• Supplier contract & price negotiation (Negotiate and liaise with supplier to ensure achievement of company cost, quality, delivery requirements, and contractual conditions)
• Recommend potential or alternative materials / services, prices and products related.
• Associated administrative functions
• Purchasing reports
• Play a key role to co-ordinate with internal customer and supplier to verify and rectify non-conforming supplies to improve technical component in line with actual component ordered through local sources
• Provide supports to Technical Buyer to solve problems with regards supply management issues
• Other duties assigned by Technical Buyer
