Fine Blanking Group of Companies based in the South of Johannesburg is looking to employ a junior mechanical draughtsman.

Only candidates that meet the following requirements will be considered:

BASIC EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Formal schooling: Senior certificate with technical subjects
Tertiary education: Relevant computer aided draughting and design (CAD) qualification
Other: Driver’s license (Code B)
Experience: Minimum of 6 months relevant experience
Languages: English

JOB OBJECTIVE

To enable various departments in the organisation to produce components by ensuring they have accurate drawings and designs utilising CAD software.

MAIN TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES

Create accurate drawings by utilising CAD software.
Create accurate drawings from samples, rough sketches, and verbal descriptions.
Reverse engineer components into drawings.
Apply general drawing control practices.
Generate job cards for production department.
Sourcing of raw material for different production requirements.
Liaising with customers and suppliers regarding current and upcoming orders.
Negotiating best possible price for raw materials.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience with computer aided draughting and design software.
Experience with SolidWorks will be advantageous.
Ability to work with an organised approach.
Ability to work accurately.
Excellent communication skills.
Presentable experience.
Own (reliable) transport.
