JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Needs to plan projects as per the budget set by the client.
* Required to coordinate with team members to accomplish the projects assigned to him/ her.
* Required to monitor and supervise the project.
* Project Manager is required to ensure that the project is done as per the set guidelines.
* Needs to ensure quality work.
* A Project Manager is required to communicate the progress of the project with senior management as well as the clients.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Setting up and maintaining the project network space (provide for project-specific information, e.g. history, project management information)
* Maintaining electronic copies of project files
* Coordinating the logistical needs of team members
* Scheduling meetings and workshops on request
* Consolidating information for project meetings, as requested by the project manager
* Distributing information to nominated persons
* Arranging functions, meetings sessions
* Negotiating with other project managers regarding requests for information
* Liaising with the project support office regarding the standardization of information, guidelines, etc.
* Receiving project plan from project manager and maintaining the Project Plan
* Compiling reports, e.g. status report and risk registers
* Distributing status and progress report to the approved distribution list

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

* Keeping financial records
* Keeping the project budget updated
* Providing financial reports (budget vs actual expenditure)


EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

* National Senior Certificate or equivalent
* Certificate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business administration or Project management
* Experience in Word/PowerPoint/Excel/ Project Manager Software/Microsoft Projects
* 2-3 years of experience as a junior project manager/administrator

JUNIOR PROJECT MANAGERS SALARY

* The expected salary for a junior project manager is [R12, 000 – R20, 000] Gross per month
