Junior QA Software Tester
Leading Software Company in the northern suburbs is in the market to employ a Junior Software Tester. The ideal candidate would be proactive, high energy levels and an entrepreneurial spirit about them.
 
Requirements, Specifications and Qualification needed:

• Matric (with above average aggregate)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 + years’ experience in a similar role
• Extensive Software engineering experience a must
• Knowledge of automations testing  with the following (non-negotiable):

1. UI
2. Selenium
3. API
4. Unit
5. Regression & Integration
6. Systems
7. Performance

• Excellent knowledge of web technologies with the following:

1. HTML
2. JavaScript
3. CSS
4. HTTP

• Various web site diagnostics tools knowledge (Firebug, Chrome Development Tools)

 
Duties will include but not be limited to:

• Reporting and tracking test metrics such as test and code coverage
• Build test plans for our SaaS software suite
• Perform integration test of the applications and diagnose issues
• Implement scripts and server configurations to for automated build and testing environments
• Provide reports and procedures
• Implement automated tests using a Selenium framework
• Assist with management of source control systems
• Assist with basic server management/configuration of staging and test servers
• Research new technologies and approaches to improve our test infrastructure and coverage

 
Remuneration package:
