My client, a well-established company based in Somerset West, is seeking to employ a Junior Quantity Surveyor.

Requirements:

• BSc / Btech in Quantity Surveyor
• Minimum one year previous experience within a Construction company
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Ability to liaise with staff and construction workers
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home for short durations
• Computer literate
• Own transport and drivers licence

Responsibilities:

• Develop project specifications
• Compile tender documents and material
• Measure work for ordering purposes and subcontractor payments
• Quantifying of material and labour
• Completing and developing financial reconciliations
• Oversee the tender and construction process implementation, compliance and support of variations
• Complete quality verifications and checks
• Provide project management support to team
• Co-ordinate construction activities in the field/site
