My client part of a Local Hotel Group is looking for a Junior Sales Co Ordinator - for their 4 Star Hotel in Sandton Requirements:
Grade 12 certificateTertiary Hospitality Diploma / Degree - preferredTertiary Sales and Marketing Diploma / Degree - preferredStrong computer literacy and experience in relevant computer programsStrong report writing ability3 - 5 years experience in Sales / Sales Coordination - in the hospitality industry in the Sandton Market (Desirable) and an in depth understanding of the hotel industry in Gauteng would be an advantage.Applicants should be well spoken, able to work under pressure, have good customer relations and communication skills, basic financial acumen.Own reliable transport and valid drivers licenseExcellent sales communication , negotiation and closing skills as well as ability to comprehend and give attention to fine detail.
General Outline of Duties
Contact and maintain potential customers for new businessProvide customers with quotationsNegotiate the terms of an agreement and in some cases close salesGather market and customer information and provide feedback on buying trendsRepresent the Hotel at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrationsIdentify new markets and business opportunities and assist the Sales Manager and Sales Executives to achieve common goalsRecord sales and send copies to the sales officeReview your own sales and coordination performance
