A Pretoria based entity is looking to appoint a Junior Sales Representative in their sales department.

Duties:

- Submit Marketing & Sales Plan to the Sales Manager for review.
- Analyse the market to understand the different market segments and trends and identify customers.
- Negotiate with customers on the product, price and volume of lumber and add value to the customer relationship.
- Enter into a sales order agreement between the company and the customer to identify the terms of sale.
- On receipt of customer orders, verify that the order matches the sales order and submit to the Sales Coordinator for further processing.
- Ensure that the customers requirements are met.
- Manage stockholding in relation to achieving the best average selling price or highest income
- Conduct visits to customers to determine their credit limit requirements.
- Liaise with new customers to ensure credit applications are completed properly for submission to Credit Management.
- Manage customer credit control in accordance with policies and procedures and within the allocated time frames.
- Continuously track and adapt to industry trends and shifts in the market.
- Research market segments and identify opportunities to expand.
- Maintain and grow market share through identification of new customers and new markets to continuously grow direct customers sales.
- Inspect and report on all product claims and variances with regards to customer’s initial order and liaise with management.
- Analyse and execute annual sales budget received from Sales Manager with regards to volume of sales and average price
- Apply the annual sales budget into monthly and daily targets and develop own Marketing and Sales Plan.
- Update customers on product delivery date expectations by consulting with sawmill and confirm with customers that delivered product complied with what was ordered.

Candidate Requirements:

National Diploma in Marketing and Sales. B Degree will be added as an advantage.
2-3 years’ experience in Sales and Marketing.
Valid code EB driver’s license.
