RedCat Recruitment is urgently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced JUNIOR SOUS CHEF for a well-known hotel and spa in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands area.

!PERSON MUST BE ABLE TO START IMMEDIATELY!

REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Relevant qualifications.
3yrs+ experience as a Chef De Partie or Junior Sous Chef held in a reputable 4 or 5-star environment.
Strong computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Skills in fine dining and Bistro fare.
Multi tasker (running between two restaurants from one kitchen).
Assist in the management and operation of the food production and service
within the kitchen.
Assist in marketing and promoting all food products to help maximise sales.
Participate in developing and implementing food promotions, new menus and systems.
Assist in sales targets, control costs and for purchasing stock.
Maintain systems of control, developing and updating standards.
Develop and monitor staff in obtaining the highest standards of service and customer care. Assist in the responsibility for and monitor the training and development of all staff within the kitchen.
Implement licensing laws and other legal requirements and maintain staff awareness and comply with health and safety, fire and hygiene regulations.
Ensure all administration procedures are accurately completed and will maintain a high standard of personal presentation and punctuality.
Will be required to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Salary package offered: - R10 000-00 per month (live-in) + accommodation + uniform
