Strategic Overview:

Reporting to the Supply Chain (and Demand Planning) Managers, you will:
- Manage all stock-related activity to monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by location.
- Assist in the importing of food products from overseas factories.
- Support the end-to-end Master Data process (including both new and existing product-lines).

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage weekly and monthly stock reconciliations (book-to-book cycle counts) with Third Party Logistics (3PL).
- Assist in physical stock-takes (as and when required, across warehouses in JHB, KZN and CT).
- Process all Goods Receipts as they occur.
- Support the end-to-end Master Data process.
- Compile month-end reports.
- Execute in-bound container planning, out-bound airfreight and related activities whilst optimizing freight costs.
- Monitor data provided by 3PL relating to possible risks to product and where necessary, identify root-cause of incidents and propose cause of action (e.g. heat and humidity fluctuations in container temperatures, excessive container damages and quality related issues).

Requisite Skills and Competencies:

- Highly numerate with excellent financial acumen and analytical skills.

- Strong Excel skills, SAP experience a distinct advantage.
- 1 – 3 years’ relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG-foods environment (global / multi-national experience an advantage).
