Core requirements and qualifications

• Completed matric with Maths
• ISEB / ISTQB Testing qualification or equivalent
• 1 - 2 Years’ experience in IT Environment
• Knowledge of automation testing tools, testing web based software applications using the following:
• SQL query language & Selenium Skills
• SoapUI or JMeter Skills
• Java/ Jenkins
• Fair understanding of IT Infrastructure & Networking
• Programming skills would be great
• Manual and automated testing knowledge
• Ability to write technical test cases
• Capable of performing OS, VM and Software installations
• Experience in creating & maintaining testing environments
• Proficiency in written & spoken English

Preferable
• ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst qualification
• ITIL Foundation Qualification
• Web development experience
• HTML/ JavaScript /XML/ JSON
• AJAX
• Server Side Web Technologies (PHP)
• Experience of Network Simulation tools, e.g. MIMIC, GNS
• PERL, TCL or other Scripting Language
• Intermediate Operating Systems skills - Windows and/or Linux

Duties
• Contribute to Technical Testing (manual & automated) to meet testing requirements for products
• Working with UI Testing function
• Understand & conformance to SDLC & software change control life cycle
• Create Test Strategies, Test plans & test cases to ensure release of high quality software
• Perform software testing (front end, back, data validations) to complement existing UI Testing
• Interact with users to understand requirements
• Automation of system test cases
• Performance Testing/ Reporting of software defects
• Preparation of Test Reports
• Setup & maintenance of testing simulation environments
• Research of testing methods & practices to recommend process improvements
