Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Description: A chemical company requires a Key Account (Senior) or Account Manager (Junior). They provide chemical solutions in different industries such as Food and Beverages, Personal Care and Pharmaceuticals, Lubricants, Wine and General Industrial sectors. The successful candidate will report to the Divisional Manager or Regional Manager. Duties include but is not limited to: identifying the opportunities to increase customer profitability for a sustainable and profitable mutual growth; developing and implementing a multi-annual strategic plan concerning a key account and transform it into an annual operational plan, based upon the Company strategy and upon the Customer expectations/contributions/strategies and turn it into, according to the Divisional plans (Products and Services) and the overall company strategy; managing the team of account managers/ customer service representatives to implement the plan; propose the annual budget the key account, GP and Volume. Responsible for the results reached; ensuring a sustainable and profitable mutual growth; developing, at different levels, a transverse relationship with the customer and ensure strategic alignment; ensure and improve Customer Satisfaction and Loyalty; understanding the Customers overall business and activities (competitive environment, growth strategy, productivity, profitability); identifying customer needs and drive opportunities in agreement with the commercial business strategy, the market, category, portfolio; driving the deployment of operational and strategic plans jointly with the Customer and the internal organization (targets, budgets, etc.); actively pursue business opportunities; drive closure of long term sales contracts; pro-actively drive resolution of customer issues; ensure that the abilities of the key account team match customer needs (organization, skills, processes and tools); ensure accurate sales forecasts; responsible for the financial objectives of the customer; managing the Key Account team; ensure the coherence of the commercial action plan; following the improvement of action plans and intervene, in case of difficulties; validate and coordinate the coherence of actions lead in the market; coordinate the new business opportunities in the region.
Key Requirements: Sound chemical background with an established network in the Personal Care/Detergent industry. Sales and marketing experience. Valid driver’s license and own transport.

Remuneration: Market related with commission structure.
