An employment opportunity exists in the Sales Department for a suitable candidate to take up the position of Key Accounts Manager Exports.

Reporting into the National Sales Manager the main duties and responsibilities of the position include:

Duties and Responsibilities
• Profitable Revenue Growth: achieve Export sales revenue targets; retain and grow export customer base; manage existing and develop new customer relationships and channels.
• Strategy Formulation and Implementation: contribute to overall Commercial strategy; Prepare & implement Export Sales and Marketing Plans and assist in defining Export sales targets.
• Financial Management: prepare Export sales budget; provide Country sales forecasts; manage Export debtors; manage Export customer profitability (contribution); monitor pricing activity in relation to prevailing exchange rates, shipping costs, oil prices and local economic factors
• Supply Chain Development: ensure appropriate administrative support, skills and supply chain infra-structure to ensure O.T.I.F. and other service parameters are met.
• Product: identify product growth opportunities, initiate opportunity evaluation; competitor analysis and customer analysis by Country.
• Value Proposition: Identify opportunities for differentiation and implement plans and actions to improve company position in targeted Export markets
• Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly and ad-hoc reports timeously
Minimum Requirements
• Excellent business acumen (preparation of budgets, forecasting, contribution and working capital, understanding of macroeconomic principles)
• Previous experience in - and knowledge of Export Markets including distribution channels
• Knowledge of Export processes and documentation requirements
• Self driven, ability to operate independently (make things happen)
• Must be prepared to travel extensively
• A versatile individual having a proven track record in both Sales and Marketing
• Proven ability to develop and implement Strategic Sales and Marketing Plans
• An excellent communicator with the ability to present to larger forums
• Team player
• Sound computer literacy (Lotus Notes, Microsoft office, SAP)
Qualifications
• Tertiary qualification in sales and/or marketing
Advantagous
• Contacts: Local customers, Export Customers, Agents, and Authorities; Allied South African Exporters, Agents & Distributors;
Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales and Finance;
• Having worked in an ERP environment, preferably SA
