Role: Key Account Manager – Sales (KAM)
Industry: Manufacturing – we need someone with working experience of selling ISO factory manufactured products i.e. a supplier to FMCG factories
Location Cape Town Southern Subs
Drivers: Must have drivers licence & clear crim
Required Ed Tertiary Education (I.P.S.A./ sales/ business)
Required The person will ideally be in their 30’s, dynamic, team player, with sales experience in selling ISO manufactured products directly to an FMCG Manufacturing factory
Reports to Sales Manager

Salary Negotiable – depending on current CTC, education & experience – Approx R40 000 + Benefits + car allowance

We’re looking for a Key Accounts Manager/ KAM who will be responsible for :

• Calling on clients and management of national key accounts working with the relevant regional sales person
• Creating new business from Key Accounts across the business working in combination with the relevant regional sales team
• Effective sales management to ensure targets and budgets
• Relationship building and management with current and new clients
• Identification and creation of new sales opportunities
• Co-ordinating and managing all interaction and comms with Key Accounts
• Proactively monitoring client, sales, competitor and reporting back on sales and margins
• Professional presentations of pricing proposals for all clients in tandem with regional sales people
• Reporting – weekly, monthly etc – all sales and pipeline & sharing with all national and regional relevant staff
• Sales Administrative function – reports, agreements, logging data of communications with clients etc
• Working closely with planning and production to align sales function
• Implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001 procedures and processes
• Communication – at all times – keep all relevant stakeholders aligned and up to speed on your clients requirements
• Development of sales budgets in a regional context aligned to the company growth
• Stock management and reduction of obsolence costs
• Ensure all clients and customer events are organized, co-ordinated and implemented

REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary Education : a degree or related (IPSA, sales or financial) etc
• Understanding the ISO 9001 system and manufacturing process
• Deep understanding of product costs and basic manufacturing principles/ budget
• A thorough understanding manufacturing and sales of manufactured products (i.e. not a retail background – must have worked directly for a manufacturer)
• PC Literacy (EXCEL, WORD, POWERPOINT)
• Strong sales record (selling directly to an FMCG Manufacturing factory) and Key Account Management (approx. 5yr)
• Proactive, analytical thinking, innovation & creativity, dynamic team player
• Time management skills, strong on team skills and self discipline
• Proven record in budgeting and projections
• Multi-tasking skills and able to juggle many projects
• Well spoken, articulate – at all levels of staff
• Able to “hard -sell” and influence people across the spectrum
• Strong relationship builder – able to interface with all levels of staff through to exec level
