A new position has been created for a Key Accounts Manager in Durban.

The ideal candidate is seen as a person with a proven track record as a FMCG Key Accounts Manager in the retail and wholesale food environment, who has the ability to travel, work long hours and who can perform under pressure and achieve monthly sales targets.

Main Purpose:
Ensure effective chain store key account management, the maintaining of a long term relationship with accounts and the maximising of sales opportunities within them, while focusing on growing and developing existing clients, together with generating new business.

Minimum Requirements:
• Self-starter capable of achieving set targets and goals, with the determination to grow business on an annual basis.
• Excellent proven negotiating skills.
• Must have a sales and/or marketing degree/diploma or similar qualification.
• 10 years’ experience negotiating at Chain Store buyer level, dealing with chain store buyers in Natal and the Eastern Cape and chain store admin procedures.
• Must have experience in the food industry, preferably meat/chicken products.
• Excellent customer relations skills.
• Sound administrative knowledge/experience essential.
• Computer literacy essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations skills essential.
• Own reliable transport and a valid unendorsed drivers licence as travelling is involved.
• Must be able and willing to travel and be out of town for extended periods.

Salary:
R35 000 to R45 000
