Our Client, a major chain restaurant company in the Western Cape, is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager / Chef to join their restaurant in Wellington and Paarl.
The primary job responsibility of this job is managing all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness; training of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion and cost control; health and safety; and sanitation and cleanliness
PRIOR KNOWLEDGE:
Customer Service
Food Preparation
Food Hygiene
Compliance to Health and Safety
Portion and cost control
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
Matric
Relevant qualification will be an advantage
2 – 3 years working in a busy kitchen
Driver licence and Own Transport
KEY PERFORMANCE:
Ensure staff are well trained
Ensure food are prepared to specification
Ensure quality and consistency of food
Ensure stock control and the ordering thereof
Ensure Waste Management
Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation, policies, procedures and controls
Salary- R12 000 – R15 000 - Depending on experience and qualification.
