Location: Paarl, Western Cape

Description: A South African based aroma chemical producer is looking for a laboratory analyst to join their team. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include: preparation of oil orders and samples; quality control analysis; stock control assistance; general laboratory assistance and administration; ensure calibration of instruments are up to date; monitoring and ordering of laboratory consumables; assistance with the HACCP programme and annual certification.

Key Requirements: BSc degree / Diploma in Chemistry / Food Science. Experience with GC analyses recommended. Good sense of smell required – only non-smokers qualify. Excellent communication skills required. Driver’s license and own car required. Only South African citizens living in the area need to apply.

Additional Requirements: Analytical thinking; good problem solving skills in the lab and production environment. Ability to work independently and under pressure. Rational, disciplined, systematic and good attention to detail required. Client service orientated.

Remuneration: Market related and dependent on experience.
