A company specializing in laboratory design, furniture and fittings requires an account manager to join their team. Key duties includes but is not limited to: Identifying and proactively developing new sales opportunities; conducting client presentations (face-to-face and remote); applying traditional and non-traditional problem solving techniques to think through and solve issues creatively for clients; full sales cycle management including costing, proposal-writing, negotiation, contracting and billing; coordinating, tracking and driving sales; contributing to proposal, presentation and other sales templates; manageing, maintaining and growing client portfolio; ensuring client queries are adequately addressed; solicit client requests for feature development and provide feedback based on discussions with relevant teams; collaboration with Project Coordinator/Manager to schedule and track project milestones, deliverables, resources, budgets etc; facilitation of project communication. This position entails a lot of travelling to and from clients all over Gauteng and surrounding provinces.

Key Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Management or Science based degree. Minimum of 2 years of account management experience or previous experience in a laboratory environment. Drivers’ License is essential. Knowledge of sales strategies and concepts required.

Additional Requirements: Work well under extreme pressure and in target driven environment. Sales ability and persuasion (including negotiation skills). A proven track record of successfully managing long-term client accounts, as well as launching new client accounts. A high degree of knowledge and interest in current trends in sales & marketing of high end laboratory products. Outstanding written and verbal communications abilities. Person should be willing to learn different programs and processes. Motivated, hardworking and always willing to help. The position requires that you work closely with a number of different people, so excellent people skills required. A team player. Ability to think like an end user. Over time work required on occasion.

Remuneration: Market related.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
