PURPOSE
The above vacancy is available for suitably qualified individuals to support the department to meet its objectives so as to contribute positively to the overall company objectives.

QUALIFICATION & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Education level : National Diploma, Analytical Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• At least 2-3 years laboratory work experience
• Ability to work shifts and overtime

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Laboratory testing of Raw Materials (PGM), In-Process & Finished Products
• Calibration and maintenance of test equipment
• Performing activities as per laboratory testing schedule
• Maintaining laboratory records
• Ordering of laboratory chemicals, consumables, and raw material
• Maintaining budget and monthly expenses
• Ensure that quality of coating process is maintained
• Ensuring that correct levels of PGM are maintained for smooth running of lines
• Inform Quality Management of any changes, improvements and/or creation of new documentation
• Trouble-shooting and problem-solving
• Training Production members on laboratory equipment
• Updating reports on the laboratory system (test results etc)
• Send samples to Cataler Japan as and when requested by management
• Ensuring safety and 5S is adhered at all times
• Ensure relevant ISO (e.g. 14001, IATF16949, etc.) requirements are met
• Implement kaizen and cost improvement activities
• Participate in quality improvement activities
