Warehouse Management Systems LEAD Analyst – Position in Elandsfontein Market Related Salary

Responsible for leading the WMS function, including the overall management of the WMS environment and team. Actively participation in second level user support, trouble-shooting and maintenance, testing and deployment of changes and upgrades, define technical requirements for new implementations of the WMS system. Responsible for the system configuration and testing for new client take-ons and implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Academic requirements:

Degree in IT, Logistics or Engineering / Project Management/ Relevant courses in Technical field.

Experience in the following will be an advantage / Beneficial:

Technical competencies in a recognized Warehouse Management System. Manhattan WMOS. AIX Unix. Windows.

MS SQL/Oracle SQL Scripting . Supply chain management knowledge. Planning and prioritising of multiple tasks. Ability to interact effectively with people at all levels.Commitment to accuracy and professionalism. Handling confidential / sensitive information with integrity. Good team player, able to work as part of the IT team, sharing knowledge, ideas and learning from team members. In depth knowledge of current IT trends and developments.

Ultimately responsible to provide the Second Level Support for business applications (“Products”). The second level in a hierarchy of support groups involved in the resolution of incidents and investigation of problems. Restoring normal service operation as quickly as possible and minimize the adverse. Providing a critical support function for core logistics services provided to customers making sure that Product Management will be able:

– To reduce unplanned labour and costs for both the business and IT support staff caused by incidents

– To detect and resolve incidents which results in lower downtime to the business, which in turn means higher availability of the logistic service for customers. This means that the business is able to serve customer according to their contract.

– To align IT activity to real-time business priorities. This is because incident management and request fulfilment includes the capability to identify business priorities and dynamically allocate resources as necessary.

– To identify potential improvements to logistic services and operation processes. This happens as a result of understanding what constitutes an incident and also from being in contact with the activities of business operational staff”.
Designing and delivering changes on existing business applications (WMS, TMS).

Accountable that Product Management will be:

– Providing second-line investigation and diagnosis.

– Resolving incidents/service requests when second-line contacted whenever possible.

– Escalating incidents/service requests that they cannot resolve within agreed timescales.

– Keeping users and first-line informed of progress.

– Closing all resolved incidents, requests and other calls.

– Updating the CMS under the direction and approval of service asset and configuration management if so agreed.

– Making sure that applications during their life-cycle are well designed, resilient and cost-effective.

– Ensuring that the required functionality is available to achieve the required business outcome.

– Organizing adequate technical resources to maintain operational applications in optimum condition”.

Manage customer relationship :

– Develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships and – solve customer escalations.
