A reputable consulting firm in the engineering field have a great job opportunity for a Lead Civil Engineer to join their team in Centurion. You will closely collaborate with the HoD: Civil Engineering in directing, co-ordinating, initiating, planning, executing, monitoring & control, integration, and closing of the Civil Engineering Projects

Your key job responsibilities as the Lead Civil Engineer in Centurion will include:

-Lead, manage and guide Engineers, technicians, draughts persons and delegate work effectively in the Civil Engineering Department
-Ensure that all employees in the team are supplied with the relevant tools required to perform jobs
-Formulate systems for smooth running of the Civil Engineering section to enable synergy and coherence
-Design, reporting in Civil Engineering section to meet projects objectives
-Preparation of proposals, tender and contract documents for the infrastructure services nationally and internationally
-Construction monitoring and implementation of site construction work as and when required on a part time basis
-Do any ad-hoc office duties as assigned by the HoD: Civil Engineering
-Guide and train in design and other necessary skills to engineers and technicians to ensure continuous professional development
-Keep abreast with technology development and research in the field of water and wastewater engineering
-Coordinate and supervise the production of technical drawings design and reporting inputs by supporting staff
-Client liaison including meetings and reporting
-Compliance with the company’s Quality Management System ISO9001 requirements
-Assisting with the preparation of requests for proposals expressions of interest panel applications and tenders
-Management of projects and monitoring of performance and profitability

Requirements for this Lead Civil Engineer job in Centurion:

-BEng (Civil), ECSA registered Pr Eng. Post graduate qualifications will be an advantageous. Good experience in bulk water and wastewater municipal infrastructure, stormwater systems, earthworks, basic road and drainage systems
-Some process design experience will be advantageous
-Experience of managing a team of up to ten employees
-Minimum 20 years in engineering design and management. Minimum 5 years after professional (ECSA) registration
-Proven management and leadership in consulting engineering
-Legal knowledge: Design compliance standards
