Scope of Duties
* Preparation of Technical Specifications/Material Requisitions for Machinery equipment/packages and prepare Tender Packages of the modifications Projects.
* Preparation/Review of Engineering Specifications and Data Sheets of Machinery equipment.
* Handlng machine revamps/upgrades through modification Procedures.
* Clarifying design aspects with Vendors and advising Maintennace/operation/Performnace and Reliability accordingly.
* Review of P&ID’s andMachinery Equipment sizing.
* Prepararation of the Statement of Requirement for contract documents and carries out technical evaluation of contracted out modifications including technical clarification to bidders through the Contracts Department.
* Carry out Technical Bids Evaluation of Vendor’s Equipment and EPC Contractors.
* Monitor the modification/project QA/QC system to assure applying the project standards, procedures, design drawings during all phases of the project.
* Co-ordination with the Package Licensors and Vendors.
* Preparation of Budget Pricing for Machniery Equipment/Packages.
* Review of Vendor’s Drawings for Machinery/Mechanical equipment.
* Construction Management, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start-up Supervision for Machinery packages.
* Review the Contractor’s Variation Orders.
* Provide Technical Support to Projects throughout all Project Phases.
* Develop Machinery Specifications where required to cover specific Plant/ADNOC requirements assessed with related International Codes/ Standards.
* Develop and Update Client’s (Machinery Vendor List) considering Plant recommendations.
* Review Vendor Inspection test Plan, Test Procedures and attend functional running tests at Vendor Factories
* Carries out the design of allocated modification related to LNG production facilities and associated offsite. Ensures the design is to recognized industrial standards and codes.
* Convenes and minutes the Definition of Requirements meeting and ensures that all disciplines are represented.
* Controls the engineering of modifications and liaises regularly with Operations and HSE Departments to ensure that the engineering design is acceptable to such user departments.
* Liaises regularly with civil, structural, instrument/control, process and electrical engineers within Engineering Division to cover the inter-disciplinary requirements for the modifications. Acts as the nucleus to ensure a complete integral package is assembled before distribution.
* Responsible for collating discussing and resolving any comments or queries arising from the approval issue of the modification package.
* Prepares the Hazop P&ID and introduces the proposal to Hazop committee for Hazard and Operability Study. Takes an active part in Hazop proceedings as mechanical specialist. Acts as secretary to the Hazop meetings in the absence of Senior Mechanical Engineer.
* Prepares Hazop findings and HSE Review Committee modification overview for Plant Management appraisal. Introduces the proposal and describes the findings of Hazop Team to Plant Management at HSE Review Meetings.
* Defines the scope of each Divisions involvement during procurement and construction and precommissioning phases of the modification.
* Supervises and directs engineering, construction and precommissioning contract staff during implementation of the modification.
* Carries out precommissioning checks on the completed work to ensure the design is to original proposals. Continue to monitor modification from conception through to commissioning.
* Reviews, comments or design Minor Changes initiated by Operations Department.

Minimum Requirements
* B. Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
* 12 years experience in the Machniery engineering field in the areas of Projects Design, Detailed Engineering, Projects Management, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning and Start up assistance, including minimum of 8 years in engineering firm or engineering Department in running plant with minimum 2 years in supervisory position, in the gas processing, oil refining or petrochemical industry with a good machinery control and process background.
* Good spoken and written English.
* Computer literate.

Remuneration package
* Salary is negotiable depending on qualification and experience.
* Leave cycle: 5/2 – 5 days working on Das Island followed by 2 days OFF.
* Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge while on the island.
* Sports/recreational club facilities on the island
