B.Eng. (Mechanical) / B.Tech (Mechanical)
? ECSA Registration or in the process of doing so is required.
? Typically 10+ years Piping engineering and design experience in an engineering consultancy or EPC
company within the oil and gas industry, including a minimum of 5 years management of engineering
design projects with 4 years minimum spent in an engineering office.
? Post graduate qualification in Piping engineering and design discipline.
? Leadership, management or project management is desirable.
? Must possess a thorough knowledge of industry practices, tools, codes and standards as applicable to the
Piping discipline. Tool knowledge must be hands-on, expert user level.
? Must possess an expert knowledge of piping mechanics and materials and demonstrate a thorough
understanding of the fundamentals of pipe work and layout design through examples of past work.
? Must possess a strong working knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas and/or petrochemical
units and operating principles. Other industry specific knowledge may be acceptable on a location-bylocation
basis.
? Should demonstrate strong engineering competence, interpersonal / teambuilding skills and leadership
skills.
? Site construction and commissioning experience required.
