Our client is in search of a Lead SQL DBA to join their growing company based in the Western Cape. This person will work with development staff to implement changes in accordance with change control policies.



Qualification:

Matric

Degree in Accounting, Engineering or IT related qualification



Skills & Experience:

At least 3 years’ experience as a MS SQL Developer or DBA

PowerShell Scripting

SSIS

SSRS

GIT



Job Description:

Your responsibilities includes, but are not limited to:

Daily management and oversight of the databases whilst working with System Administrators on setting up new environments and troubleshooting existing environments.

Assist in creating users and maintaining security.

Maintain established backup and recovery policies and procedures to recover database platforms.

Assist in troubleshooting database related issues.

Maintaining maximum availability of the databases.

Running, maintaining and supervising maintenance scripts to maintain optimal service levels.
