Job purpose
? To align & drive the Learning & Development function for the unit, along with the business objectives / goals.
? To develop people capabilities in the unit ensuring learning and development opportunities for employees in the unit, at all levels.
? To build a learning organization culture and to foster a healthy climate for career enhancements and employee aspirations.

Knowledge & skills:

? Computer Literate
? Ability to work without supervision

Experience and qualifications:
? Relevant HR Degree / Diploma
? 3-5 Years experience in a similar role

Main duties & responsibilities
? Interact with the departmental/unit functional heads on a daily basis in areas of people development, providing appropriate support to operational departments.
? Partner in interventions for organizational & leadership development, including conducting training programs.
? Monitor and conduct L&D reviews with each department, and review the same with unit Management Committee.
? Review training effectiveness in the unit, and review the same with unit Management committee.
? Partner in Corporate initiatives as required from time to time.
? Participate & assist in the unit career development process along with the General Manager, the department heads and the Unit HR Director.
? Prepare Annual Training plans and calendars for the unit, responding to departmental needs.
? Coordinate training activities being carried out for the unit by external agencies including briefing them about requirements.
? Assist with HR Department requirements and duties as and when required.

Standard responsibilities
? Ensures that you work in a safe manner that does not harm or injure self or others.
? To be involved with Health & Safety within the department. Ensuring compliance within the department and that Health & Safety directives are carried out.
? Anticipate possible and probable hazards and conditions and either correct them or take action to prevent them from happening.
? Ensure that the highest standards of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct maintained.
? Continuously endeavour to improve the department’s efficient operation, and knowledge of own job function.

Managerial Responsibility Areas
? Support departments/functions in developing cutting edge functional excellence and in developing leadership capabilities.
? Act as change catalyst in the cultural and organizational transformation.
? Provide key inputs of L&D aspects for all activities and plans of the unit.
? Reinforce learning & developmental initiatives in the unit through supporting individual & team development, career development, training & experience-based learning.
? Induct, coach and mentor new employees.
? Develop & integrate Learning & Development activities within the framework of the unit/SBU strategic objectives.
? Develop L&D plans in conjunction with the strategic objectives of the unit and the Hotel Property Group.
? Plan for and allocate financial resources for training plans for the unit.
? Partner in the Management Committee meetings to create L&D plans for the unit.
? Build an image for the Hotel Property Group to be the most preferred employer in the Corporate World.
