Qualification & Experience

• Minimum Matric
• At least 7 years of letting experience in the retail letting field in Gauteng
• Property letting background
• Property marketing and sales background (relevant certificates would be advantageous)

Competencies

• Excellent negotiating skills
• Existing relationships with major retailers and property players
• Understanding of tenant mix and retail performance statistics
• Development and/or redevelopment leasing experience
• Financial Skills: attention to detail
• Good administration and numerical skills

• Ability to handle pressure
• Available to do after hours and weekend work when required

Duties

• Show potential tenants vacant retail space
• Manage direct enquiries on vacant retail space
• Manage existing and prospective tenants on renewals and new lets
• Responsible for vacancies of a large retail portfolio in Rustenburg, Pretoria, Woodmead and surrounds, which may change from time to time
• Process letting deals and work with appropriate documentation to complete lease process
• Involvement in the tenant’s specification process
• Ensure premises are fit for tenant occupation
• Must negotiate deals to optimize profits and close deals both new and renewals conforming with suitable tenant mix ;negotiate between tenants and landlord and ensure that both their needs are met
• Keep abreast of retail trends (local and international)
• Build relationships with existing and new retailers
• Assist with the relevant aspects of budgeting process
