Job Purpose
• Teach in the following big four areas of Accounting: Accounting, Internal Auditing; Cost Management Accounting; and Auditing.
• Published articles in high impact factor journals and peer reviewed journals.
• Conduct scholarly research and applied research.
• Conduct Community engagement which contributes to improving the quality of teaching in the School of Accounting.
• Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, and that increased research outputs.
• Contribute to the department, school and Faculty research, community engagements, teaching and learning committees.
• Coordinate Business Accounting subject or any subject as per authorization by HOD.
• Coordinate assessments and other projects for seamless uniformity of the Business Accounting subject.
• Ensure that administrative duties such as assessments, marks are done in accordance to the university policy.
• Contribute to the cirriculation project of the School and Faculty.
• Perform academic administration of all the courses and postgraduate students in a professional, effective and efficient way.
• Teach at undergraduate and postgraduate any subject allocated to him/her by the Head of Department.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• A Masters degree in the Accounting field
• At least two (2) years' relevant experience

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities:
• Teaching first years alone with a high focus on methodology and interventions for unprepared students
• Supervise integrated projects and research projects at NQF 6 and 7 level.
• Academic administration
• Research in the Accountancy disciplines or the methodology of Accountancy.
• Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Postgraduate research supervision of students
• Co-publication of at least one high quality research publication in an accredited journal per year
• Register for a doctoral degree and complete within the first 6 years
• Mobilizing research resources such as grants
• Mentorship of STech students and junior staff
