WHAT’S THE JOB?
We have some of the highest quality LED lighting products in the world!
We are looking for a salesperson that has successful experience in external sales, business development and getting products distributed through wholesalers and electrical distributors while building and maintaining a professional, lasting and friendly relationship.
Phone-bashers need not apply, as this is not a onetime sales offer. Rather, we are looking for a key person who can build long-lasting personal relationships between Afrison LED and the prospected customer. We have segmented the market into a few key customer types we will be targeting. They are Project developers/Contractors/Electricians and electrical and lighting wholesalers /distributors.
The position entails:
• Visiting / calling on electrical distributors and wholesalers and other clients to have them distribute our lights
• Using our lists of leads and developing your own leads to build relationships
• Meeting with clients and training them about the products, holding demonstrations, etc.
• Using phone and email to get new leads and create sales
• Thinking outside of the box! We have such a versatile and high quality product that there are many different areas of the market we can service.
• Increase brand awareness
• Working with manufacturers / Architects to integrate our lighting into their products
• Using our in-house Dialux capability to cement retrofit project deals.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are currently in search of a direct sales representative with the following attributes:
• A minimum of at least 2 years’ experience in external sales in the lighting industry beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident telephone voice
• A proven track record in business-to-business sales
• Experience and access to wholesale and distribution clients
• Ongoing commitment to researching potential clients and markets
• The ability to thrive in a target-driven sales environment
• Able to develop existing contacts as well as find new leads
• Personable tone and an eye for detail
• Ability to hit the ground running
• Ability to achieve targets
• Technology/electronics and electrical background beneficial
• Available to start 1 Nov 2014
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Good communication skills (English and Afrikaans)
• Available on a full-time basis
• Great attitude / goal oriented

• Basic R10, 000 negotiable + company vehicle - travel benefits.
• Commission: 10% of GP.
• Total package can be R40, 000+.
• Sales Area: Gauteng/Mpumalanga/Limpopo/North-West/Free state/Northern Cape.
• Experience in sales, lighting, LED, electrical.
• Willing to travel and sleep out at least 1 to 2 nights per week.
• 3 days per week on country trip
