B Degree in Accounting/finance plus 5 years’ experience (2 years post qualification) CA(SA) preferred. Advanced Excel essential. Reporting to the VP for Finance for Africa you will inter-alia be responsible for overall financial responsibility for the HFM ledger, proper accounting as per GAAP, revenue recognition (SOX compliance for the Ledger) financial reporting and account reconciliations, maintaining proper reserves, work closely with Ops management on financial and business management decision making, supervise loading of monthly trial balance into HFM, monthly reviews of the Balance sheet and P&L analysis with Global Finance, maintain monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc reporting to Corporate Accounting and Corporate Tax and external authorities, Supervise smaller ledgers including inter-company accounting, fixed assets, financial analysis and general accounting, provide planning and forecasting assistance to Senior management including monitoring Capital expenditure and compliance with corporate spending and capitalization policies, foreign corrupt practices act as well as foreign and local income tax and government regulations, facilitate internal/external audits etc. Salary on application.
