Admitted Attorney

A well established orginasation with the objective of stimulating and intensifying technological innovation in order to improve economic growth and the quality of life of all South Africans by developing and exploiting technological innovations.
Main job purpose: To provide legal support to the company, including projects/programs and ensure that company's interests are secured. The incumbent will report to the Head: Legal Resources.

Key Responsibilities
• Drafting and vetting agreements
• Attending to litigation for and against the company
• Conducting legal due diligence regarding funded projects and compiling reports of findings
• Providing legal opinion as and when needed
• Assisting the Head of Legal Resources in the preparation of budgets for the legal department
• Assisting the organisation to ensure compliance with all regulations and systems applicable to the organisations operations.

Requirements:
Essential: Legal degree plus admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
At least 5 years post-admission working experience in a corporate/commercial environment
Prior exposure or working experience in an entity or organization that is part of the National System of Innovation would be an added advantage
A post graduate or additional qualification in commercial law
