Our client a leader in the investment industry requires the service of a Legal Advisor.

Key performance areas:

? Identification and management of legal risks
? Drafting, vetting and negotiating commercial and other agreements with third parties including internal clients
? Providing general legal advice to businesses
? Providing legal opinion and comments on new and existing legislation
? Keeping abreast of, communicating, reviewing, interpreting and implementing, developments in the legal environment pertaining to the businesses
? Minute taking at Exco and other internal meetings

The successful candidate must have:

? Matric with LLB Degree
? 1 – 2 Years minimum experience as a Legal Advisor
? Excellent written and verbal communicating skills
? Excellent problem solving ability and analytical skills
? Good client services orientation
? Sound judgment and decision making ability
? Ability to act on decisions made
? Sound knowledge of general commercial law
? Sound legal drafting skills
? Sound interpersonal skills
? Basic knowledge of legislation applicable to the financial services industry (FAIS Act, FICA, CISCA, Pension Funds Act, Long-Term Insurance Act, Excon Regulations and Rules, JSE Rules, Security Services Act)
? Basic knowledge of financial markets and financial products
? Basic knowledge of standardized industry specific transaction documentation
? Basic knowledge of tax
