Legal Assistant
Main purpose of the job
Performing corporate legal services with regard to the day to day legal requirements to operations units;
Advising and assisting group on all legal issues and the drafting of legal documents;
Assisting with maintaining corporate compliance to effectively manage risk factors pertaining to operations;
General administration attached to functions.
Duties:
Drafting, preparing, reading and revising of general agreements;
Providing advice and assisting members of staff on variety of legal matters;
Drafting of opinions and other legal documents;
General administration;
Disciplinary enquiries and procedures on ad hoc basis;
General correspondence;
Acting as general support function for operational units.

Incumbent Requirements:
Education: LLB, Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
Experience (be specific): appropriate recognised exposure in legal profession with preferable exposure to, litigation, labour and general commercial contracting;
Business Knowledge: General commercial exposure in small enterprise and exposure in the legal sphere of financial institutions;
Product knowledge: Legal Services pertaining to commercial law, financial services, debt collecting.
Legislation: Companies Act, NCA, Consumer Act, PoPI, FAIS, FICA, BCEA and Labour Relations.
Behavioral Competencies:
