This Private Hospital Group in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town is seeking a legal counsel to handle all their legal matters relating to this hospital group

This Legal Counsel will need to:
• Ensure that the objectives of the Pension Fund are achieved
• Review and make recommendations regarding general provisions of the Pension Fund and the rates of benefits and contributions
• Recommend and prepare the pension fund rules
• Recommend and prepare all required amendments to the pension fund rules and submit to the authorities, in compliance with all requirements of the Pension Funds Act
• Negotiate with the statutory authorities for the approval of the Fund in terms of the Income Tax Act and the registration of the Fund in terms of the Pension Funds Act
• Conduct an evaluation of the legal department bi-annually
• Strictly adhere to all policies and procedures of the Company

Requirements:
• A minimum of 3-6 years post articles, within the corporate environment and/or law firm
• Experience in the drafting and negotiations
• Solid exposure to company law and contract drafting is essential
