Our client is an established life assurance company with a national footprint. The company is growing at a rapid pace and educates its’ employees.

Job description

The person will be responsible for all legal functions in South Africa. This will include training staff.
Keep abreast of legal trends in the Finance Market
The role will be based in Cape Town, South Africa
Identify opportunities to develop new processes and practices to strengthen the quality and consistency of legal and compliance opinions.
Coordinate with legal service providers. Manage council.
Identify and manage compliance and legal risk.

Ideal Candidate

An admitted attorney who ideally has insurance/assurance experience of 8 years:

Corporate/Commercial Experience Essential
Compliance Experience Essential
Fluent Afrikaans and English (Written and Spoken)
Knowledge of the local district
Financial Services Industry Experience
If not based in cape Town, willing to relocate
