LEGAL PRACTITIONER /
COPYRIGHT OFFICER

This vacancy is the ideal opportunity for a Copyright Officer (Legal Practitioner) with the following qualifications/experience/qualities:
? an LLB degree or appropriate qualification
? comprehensive knowledge of and experience w.r.t. Copyright legislation and Intellectual Property contracting
? experience w.r.t. digital copyright
? significant experience of online navigation
? high-level numerical and analytical skills
? excellent communication skills
? fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans
? ability to function well under pressure to meet deadlines
? a strong sense of responsibility
? highly organised with excellent attention to detail
? client orientated
? identification with the mission and values of the Bible Society.

Responsibilities include: ? maintaining of the copyright database and schedules ? dealing with licensing agreements ? providing legal advice ? legal administration and reports ? drafting of copyright contracts and copyright policy ? support to clients ? monitoring and responding to copyright infringements ? research and analysis.
