• LMI Qualification (ECSA Registered)
• Trade tested (diesel mechanic/millwright) or crane specific courses
• CRANE & FORKLIFT LICENCE
• 5 YEEARS EXP IN SIMILAR ROLE IN MINING / MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
• COMPETENT WRITER OF INSPECTION REPORTS
• FAMILIARITY WITH REGULATIONS,, TESTING CODES AND STANDARDS PREFERRRED
• COMPUTER LITERATE
• DRIVERS LICENCE
• GOOD ENGLISH PROFICIENCY (OTHER LANGUAGES ADDED ADVANTAGE
To plan and carry out but not limited lifting maintenance, repairs and inspection activities and conducts tests in accordance with procedures approved by the National or International Standard and CLIENT / MINE Inspection Procedures approved by the QHSE Manager.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets, evaluates and documents test results and supervises work performed by trainees.
To conduct a variety of load tests and inspections by utilizing established approved methods.
Tasks are performed both in the workshop and on-site.
Inspection and load testing of all lifting machinery equipment accordance with legislation, standards,
specifications and client requirements

Report variances to line Manager
Servicing of lifting equipment
Conduct risk assessment and compliance to safety procedures
Submit daily activity reports to Ops. Manager/Supervisor
Manage assistants and delegate work load accordingly

Attend client sites to inspect and examine lifting equipment and associated equipment

Participate in client safety meetings if required, ensure toolbox talks are conducted prior to job commencement

Ensure timesheets are completed correctly and signed off by client representative

Ensure worksites are left clean and tidy at all times

Ensure all certification paperwork is completed and correct.

Maintain related test equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition

Perform other duties as assigned
