Specific duties will include, but is not limited to the following:

• Responsible for the ongoing maintenance of systems and networks to support the group and both commercial and residential clients.
• Maintenance of servers, physical and virtual
• Commercial and residential internet client support, diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Client router and VOIP configurations
• Proactive maintenance of systems and network infrastructure

Qualification:

• A Linux qualification is advantageous

Experience and knowledge:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
• Minimum of 3 years experience in maintaining and supporting Linux Servers and services
• ISP or telecommunications background
• Linux Operating System Skills: Samba, DNS, Apache 2, CentOS, Vsphere, Amazon EC2
• Networking as well as inter- branch connectivity, OSPF, static routing, VPN’s
• Knowledge of Asterisk and other VOIP platforms, Linux administration, Network administration, backup administration
• Google apps administration
• VMware and MikroTik knowledge advantageous
• A good understanding of the TCP/IP networking suite, and be familiar with IP routing & switching protocols
