Litigation and Contracts Manager - City Of Johannesburg Metro

Purpose

To manage the organizations litigation and contracts portfolio, as well as providing legal advisory and ancillary services.

• Litigation Management
• Contract Management
• Management of review applications
• Research, opinion writing and legal advisory services
• Reporting
• Communication
• People Management
• Business Unit strategic and Operational Planning
• Budget planning and management
• Representation and both courts and arbitration proceedings

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law i.e. LLB [A post graduate degree / diploma in commercial or contractual law would be an added advantage.]
• Minimum 5 years post admission experience, 3 years of which were in legal practice.
• Contractual law[negotiation, drafting, interpretation, and management]
• Knowledge and understanding of Commercial law
• Compliance
• Knowledge and understanding of Litigation and rules relating thereto [advice, drafting, negotiation, court approaches]
• Knowledge and understanding of employment and procurement law
