Description of Position

The Guide position is based in the guiding department and aims to provide guests with a profound all round guided bush experience. Our candidate must be passionate about the bush and serious about guiding, and available to work at all of the Singita properties as required operationally.

Minimum Requirements

• Two or more years big game guiding experience in the Mpumalanga area
• Minimum FGASA Level 2
• Registered with DEAT and 100% legally compliant to guide in South Africa
• Passed the Kruger National Park rifle assessment (Would be advantageous)
• Full trails guide certificate
• Valid first aid certificate
• SASSETA Certificate, including SAPS approved
• Excellent communication skills and people handling skills
• Code 8 drivers license with valid PDP

Skills and Abilities

• Spontaneous, friendly personality, and a strong character
• Geared up and hard working
• Skilled in hosting international guests and mature enough to deal with up-market guests
• Organized – with attention to detail and time
