Tumaini Consulting makes use of Locum Pharmacists to take responsibility for selected Hospital and Retail Pharmacies throughout South Africa. Locum Post Basic Pharmacist Assistants are also needed in various areas, specifically rural!!

If you have a passion for the retail and/or hospital environment and would like to utilize your Pharmacy skills on an ad-hoc basis, Tumaini Consulting can assist you should you be in the preferred areas!

Pharmacists will be responsible for:
Taking responsibility as the On Duty Pharmacist and ensure compliance with all Good Pharmacy Practice requirements
Ensuring ethical compliance with statutory legislation
Patient counselling
Drug interventions
Overseeing the daily running of the store
Supervising staff
Cash and Banking
Ward rounds (hospital)

Post Basic Pharmacist Assistants will be responsible for the following under supervision of the Pharmacist:
Taking responsibility for the dispensing of medication
Providing support and assistance to the pharmacist(s)
Stock control and submission of stock usage reports
Record keeping and data capturing of patients
Patient counselling

Successful incumbents must be registered with the South African Pharmacy Council and have prior experience in the relevant industry ie retail/hospital. Locum rates will differ according to location, experience and industry.
