Computer Literate – Pastel / Micros / Opera Property management system / Microsoft Office. An understanding of budget control and financial management. HR functions and implementations. Experience in managing a team effectively. English speaking, fluent in written and spoken English. Driver’s License essential. Duties will include the following: Running all operational aspects of the lodge in conjunction with HODs. HR aspects of running a hospitality sector operation. Operational staffing. Training and mentoring of all HOD’s. Health and Safety. Stock takes and overseeing month end operational stock counts. EXPERIENCE: Previous work experience of at least 2 years in a general management position within a hotel or lodge operation Relationship management with suppliers and trade Reservation and front office administration Working in a lodge environment previously Recruitment of Staff HR functions of the lodge Maintain SOP’s throughout the lodge with your HOD’s Weekly and monthly report basis to Owners and Directors Marketing in conjunction with Group marketing team Social Media drives Ensuring the SOP are exceeded and maintained above set standards for the lodge Health and safety Vehicle schedules in conjunction with head ranger Monitoring and mentoring of all HOD to deliver the best standard to our guests. REQUIREMENTS: South African Citizen Fluent in English (read & write) Physically fit, sober habits and in good health Neat & Presentable with a friendly personality Well groomed and good personal hygiene Strong work ethic, ability to work unsupervised, work flexible hours and extended hours.
