DFH21234 - A 5* Big 5 Game Lodge is seeking a very strong Lodge Manager.The candidate must have the following qualifications: National Diploma in Hospitality Management or similar. Must have 5 years experience in managing a 5* establishment. Computer Literate in MS Office and Protel. Must have extensive knowledge in Budget control. Experience in effective Team Management. Must be fluent in English - written and verbal. Drivers Licence is essential.Duties will include the following: You will be required to have daily contact with all departments to ensure the smooth running of the Lodge. Need to carry out regular checks and walkabouts around the Lodge to ensure that all is in order. Carry out Lodge orientation for new arrivals. Maintain and manage stock and inventory and the ordering thereof. Ensure SOP's are being maintained to the highest level. Oversee planned bush functions. Review guest feedback forms and attend to staffing issues and hold regular meetings with the team. Implement Disciplinary procedures. Maintain a high level of hygiene in line with statutory requirements. Complete monthly reports timeously.The candidate must have the following skills: Experience in stock taking, stock control and inventory. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Must be hands on, willing to work long and flexible hours. Must have the ability to anticipate guests needs and facilitate the small touches that enhance the guest experience. Excellent social and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests. Must be highly sociable and confident when meeting new people.
