Permanent Intermediate EE position
Aeroton, Gauteng
R120,000 - R135,000 pa cost to company

Main purpose:
To ensure the timely and cost effective movement of products/raw materials/equipment/ finished goods in or out of the country in accordance to group procedures and customs legislation and to manage all inbound and outbound warehousing activities.

The successful candidate must be able to perform the following key tasks:
• Customs clearance and arrangements for the physical delivery of purchased goods to the plant premises.
• Ensure that the relevant local or overseas countries international shipping legislations are followed.
• Anticipate, research and report on future change in import/export laws.
• Ensure all exports documents are in order for export deliveries.
• Insurance, costing and monitoring.
• Ensure effective and on time deliveries at the most cost effective way to customers.
• Ensure costing on imports and exports are done accurately and captured on the system.
• Ensure that weekly despatch reports are done.
• Order placements of imported material and expediting thereof.
• Ensure record keeping of all imports/exports are followed.
• All other logistical responsibilities on imports and exports.
• Management of component warehouse and finished goods warehouse and ensure production is supplied with correct components at all times.
• Responsible for all transport functions (air, sea, road)
• Run quarterly tenders and service provider selections
• Resolve queries with service provider/customer (logistics related)

EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Formal qualification in logistics or studying towards the diploma/degree
• At least 4-5 years logistical experience

WORK EXPERIENCE (Specify length and type/areas)
• Minimum 3-4 years in related positions
• Manufacturing experience (Preferred)
