PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Design and analyze the systems employed in distributing products and services. Evaluate all aspects of methods of supply chain with the ultimate goal of improving efficiency, thus generating higher profits for the company.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

• Handle inventory, process orders, plan store layouts and help design product packaging to maximize shipping efficiency;
• Construct the most streamlined, efficient method of product distribution possible;
• Review contractual commitments, customer specifications, or related information to determine logistics or support requirements;
• Determine logistics support requirements, such as facility details, staffing needs, or safety or maintenance plans;
• Propose logistics solutions for internal and external customers;
• Evaluate effectiveness of current or future logistical processes;
• Analyze or interpret logistics data involving customer service, forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, transportation, or warehousing;
• Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities;
• Develop specifications for equipment, tools, facility layouts, or material-handling systems;
• Identify or develop business rules or standard operating procedures to streamline operating processes.

POST REQUIREMENTS:

• B-Tech /Degree in Industrial Engineering /BCom Logistics Management;
• Min. 8-years Logistics experience in a Manufacturing environment;
• 5-years proven experience in designing and implementing material flows and material handling systems in a manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge of all modes of transport regulations, compliance standards and INCOTERMS (latest).
• Read and understand technical drawings.
• Knowledge, understanding and transactional exposure on ERP systems.
• Knowledge of processes, administration, procedures, quality, production, products, maintenance and safety requirements.
